Description: Mizkan Honteri Mirin 355ml. Mirin is a subtly sweet, tangy Japanese rice wine, and a key ingredient when making teriyaki and yakitori sauces, noodle broths and marinades. Sake and mirin are both varieties of rice wine, however mirin has a higher sugar content and lower alcohol content. Explore our full range of Japanese ingredients here.
Tuk Tuk Method:Â To use mirin to make a yakitori sauce, follow the below recipe: In a small saucepan combine 120ml soy sauce, 120ml mirin, 60ml sake and 50g caster sugar. Bring to the boil and boil for 8-10 minutes. The sauce should be thick and syrupy. Set it aside to cool.Â
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
